The lighted path

Josh and I have been diligently working toward our dream of creating our own business over the last year. It started with an idea, which led to a decision, which led to a goal.

This is me hauling a couple dozen medicine balls in my car.

Through the process of creating CrossFit Backward Arrow, Josh and I have been guided every step of the way. I am completely convinced the universe wants us to succeed.

Things keep falling in to place (though more slowly than we’d like). We keep meeting people who have particular expertise that we lack to help us. We keep receiving signs and little omens that reveal we are on the right path.

This weekend was yet another omen on the path of our adventure. We ate at a Chinese buffet for the first time in a long time. And these are the fortunes we received:

This journey has just begun. We are not in official business yet, though we have a handful of people working out in our garage most nights of the week.

But I have never been so convinced that if we let go and let God, things will always, always, always, work out for our favor.

“Wait on the Lord” is a constant refrain in the Psalms, and it is a necessary word, for God often keeps us waiting. He is not in such a hurry as we are, and it is not his way to give more light on the future than we need for action in the present, or to guide us more than one step at a time. When in doubt, do nothing, but continue to wait on God. When action is needed, light will come.” ― J.I. Packer, Knowing God
